Biography:
Ms. Swafford has been a litigator for 15 years in Tennessee and is experienced
in bench and jury trials, arbitrations, and mediations. She has represented
some of the biggest companies in the state including HCA Inc., Nissan of
North America, and Corrections Corporation of America. She practiced nearly
10 years with Bass, Berry and Sims, PLC, in Nashville, Tennessee where she
was a partner in the litigation department and a practice leader for the
Firm's Intellectual Property and Technology Group. She opened The Swafford
Law Firm on June 15, 2009 and has enjoyed working with the fascinating clients
she has the pleasure of representing.
Ms. Swafford and her husband have three boys who are involved in many activities
with church, school, and 4-H. Keeping the scorebook at their games is one of
her favorite past times, along with running, gardening and cooking. The Swaffords
are active members of the Otter Creek Church of Christ.

Biography:
Ms. Cooney is an associate with the Swafford Law Firm and is experienced in jury
trials, mediations, and depositions. Prior to joining the Swafford Law Firm,
Ms. Cooney practiced employment law at a firm in Florida. She concentrates
her work in the areas of employment law, workers compensation, and general
civil litigation. Ms. Cooney was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2008 and
admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2009. |
